Storyline: In the fourth of the highly successful Frankie and Annette beach party movies, a motorcycle gang led by Eric Von Zipper kidnaps singing star Sugar Kane managed by Bullets, who hires sky-diving surfers Steve and Bonnie from Big Drop for a publicity stunt. With the usual gang of kids and a mermaid named Lorelei.

- Frankie Avalon made his final full appearance in a "Beach Party" movie in this film. He only has a small role in the follow-up film, "How to Stuff a Wild Bikini," appearing for only six minutes.
- Linda Evans' singing in the film was dubbed by Robin Ward, who is also known as Jackie Ward. The female background vocals in the film were provided by The Blossoms.
- Lorelei's tail was made with a combination of fiberglass and latex. When close-ups of Lorelei were filmed, actress Marta Kristen wore a belt under her costume that allowed her to use her legs to swim while only showing her waist and up on screen.
- This film was released in the same year as Linda Evans' breakout role on the TV show "The Big Valley."
- Nancy Sinatra was originally cast to play the character Sugar Kane, but she dropped out of the film just before production was set to begin. It is believed that she withdrew from the project due to the plot involving a kidnapping, as her brother Frank Sinatra Jr. had been kidnapped a few months earlier. This film would have marked Nancy Sinatra's motion picture debut.
