Storyline:   As the influence of Sauron spreads across Middle-earth, the world now rests on whether it will be darkness or light, in one last great battle. The troops are gathered for the last battle, from every region of Middle-earth - the battle of light and dark. In all this mayhem, the ranger of the North called Aragorn must finally fulfill his destiny as heir to the throne of Gondor, and lead the free peoples in one last stand against the approaching darkness. Along the way, alliances were made, and sacrifices were made. The time has come for the war for Middle-earth to reach its boiling point - and it shall end at the gates of Mordor.

Meanwhile, away from the battlefields of Middle-earth, the hope for victory rests on a little hobbit. Frodo Baggins, steadfastly weighted down by the One Ring, continues down the ashen trail into Mordor. With him is Samwise Gamgee, steadfast in his loyalty, and Gollum, now a creature split by the divining stitch of the Ring. Their quest to melt the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom is in growing danger of unraveling. As deception and despair threaten to overwhelm them, the courage of small things may sway the fate of us all. With darkness and fire, we are at the end of an age.
