Storyline: Nathan Perry, an 11-year-old boy, is adored by his parents who plan to give him a dog. Tragically, his family is destroyed in a car accident, resulting in the death of his parents and Nathan being sent to Milwood, an orphanage run by the cruel Mr. Clemens. Despite the love shown to Nathan by the social assistant, Judy, he is still subjected to abuse by Mr. Clemens. When Nathan is bullied by other boys, he is sent to the dreaded Ward B, where he is under the tutelage of the harsh Katherine Rizzo and receives medical care from the strange Doctor Charles.
