The Dream Team Trivia
- Before the field trip, it was mentioned that one of the group members had been in the hospital for twelve years. However, as the story unfolds, it is revealed that Billy and Henry have been there for a year and a half and two years respectively. Meanwhile, Jack visits his old office and is recognized by most people, indicating that he hasn't been gone for more than a few years. This leaves Albert as the only member of the group whose past remains unknown.
- In the music video for "Hit The Road Jack," scenes from the movie are shown in the background, with Peter Boyle and Stephen Furst appearing as their characters Jack and Albert, and dragging Buster Poindexter into a red van, similar to the one in the film.
- Some movie posters for The Dream Team featured a long description that reads: "This morning they were playing ping-pong in the hospital rec room. Now they're lost in New York and framed for murder. This was never covered in group therapy. The Dream Team. Four guys on a field trip to reality."
- Michael Keaton played a character similar to Jack Nicholson's R.P. McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, in this film. - The footage of Al Leiter pitching on the television screen is from his 11 strikeout performance on April 14, 1988. He was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays a month after the film's release.
