Storyline:   "Cell" (2016) is a science fiction horror film based on Stephen King's novel of the same name. The story revolves around Clay Riddell, a graphic artist, who finds himself in the midst of a horrifying and chaotic event when a mysterious signal transmitted through cell phones turns users into mindless, violent killers. Clay is in Boston when the pulse is transmitted, witnessing the immediate and gruesome transformation of people around him into "phoners." Realizing the danger, he teams up with a small group of survivors, including a train driver named Tom McCourt and a teenage girl named Alice, as they navigate the post-apocalyptic landscape. As the group travels through the desolate streets, they encounter both the dangers of the "phoners" and the collapse of society. Along the way, Clay desperately searches for his estranged son, who was on a school trip during the pulse. The group faces numerous challenges, not only from the transformed individuals but also from other survivors who have turned violent in their fight for resources.

The story explores themes of technology gone awry, societal breakdown, and the primal instincts that emerge in the face of a cataclysmic event. The survivors must come to terms with the loss of their former lives while adapting to the new, perilous reality. "Cell" weaves a tense narrative that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats, blending horror with psychological elements. The film explores the consequences of unchecked technological advancements and the fragility of civilization when faced with an uncontrollable force. It's a gripping tale of survival, humanity, and the eerie consequences of a world gone silent in the wake of a deadly signal.
